For guests coming from the Austin airport or larger Austin area, there are two equally direct ways to drive to Willow Point: U.S. Route 183 or Texas State Highway 71. We recommend the second option where you will experience the foothills of the Texas Hill Country. TX-71 will take you west from the airport. Stay on TX-71 for approximately 40 miles until you reach US-281 where you will turn right, due north. Take US-281 north until you reach the town of Burnet, where you will head west on Texas State Highway 29. Stay on TX-29 for approximately 15 miles until you reach County Road 261, also named Lakeshore Drive, and turn right. Willow Point Resort is located about a mile from the TX-29 CR-261 interchange on Ellison Road.
