McPherson, KS

OK! Since we took almost no photos on the way back, we'll have to briefly summarize our return. We're almost there!

Night #4: Flaming Gorge Recreation Area in Wyoming. This is a very nice area of southern WYO actually considered high desert.

Night #5: Cheyenne, Wyoming. We reunited with our good friends Jan and Dave whom we camped with in Yellowstone National Park way back when. Thanks for putting up with us one more night. We really enjoyed seeing you again on our way home. The food was as always fantastic and the ride in the 72' Chevy was boss!

Night #6: Denver, CO. We dropped in for a night on our friends Abby and Andy in the mile high city. If you like beer, Denver may be the town for you. Actually, Denver reminded us of Houston quite a bit, minus the oppressive heat and humidity. Abby and Andy sent us off with some cool music and some of Andy's home-brewed pale ales. Andy, the stuff is great. You should do this full time.

Night #7: McPherson, KS. Pictured above is Claire's childhood home and probably the coolest house in central Kansas. We spent the night with Katie and her daughter Avery. Claire and Katie grew up together so they go way, way back.
