After Jasper we made our way to the starting point of the Alcan (Alaska-Canada Highway) in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Our first stop on the Alcan was a bit West of Fort St. John, BC in an RV Park … a pretty forgettable night although the park host was a nice feller. Ft. St. John by the way, is an oil boom town. We didn't think there were any of these left but apparently … well, let's just say old habits die hard.
Our second stop on the Alcan was in Muncho Lake Provincial Park. This is a gem right off the highway adjacent to a glacial lake. That's really all that needs to be said.
